  1. corn fritters, wI really like the e made them like a pancake. Shaking the butter was fun. It tasted like pancakes with corn. The butter taste delicious

  2. My favorite event was dancing with my family at night and having fun we got to do the vrigina real and it’s nothing like we do now.Now we do hip hop and made up dances and.Back then there dances were fancy and planed not made up and random like now. The virgin real is long. But know are dances are short most of them at least. And why I like the dance is because it lasted a while and i felt like i was in the colonial days and i got to dance with my family and I had lots of fun. And everyone’s laughing and have fun we were clapping along with the rhythm and it was fun.And that is why i like colonial day

  3. My favorite thing that we did was the tin can punch, because I love to do crafts, and this was an amazing craft that I could do. I love to do new things. You have to nail a nail into the can. I thought that the cutest design is the pig so I did a pig. I thought it was just really fun. I do so much crafts at home so it was perfect.

  4. My favorite activity from colonial night was playing jacks. We threw the ball up. While the ball was in the air, you grabbed the jacks. Then you tried to catch the ball without it bouncing twice. I chose this event because I was gathered with my family and we would not think about our catching limits and just had fun. You could have fun with your friends and family. It was very fun.

My favorite part was cooking we had to go get the ingredients and bake the corn fritter and shook jars to make butter then we eat and also we got to eat them.

  6. So colonial day it was really fun like colonial night, but if you ask me what was my favorite thing in colonial day it was definitely scrimshaw. Scrimshaw is a really cool thing carving in ivory, you carve really cool stuff like boats animals anything you want. And after you’re done with carving you take shoe powder and take a paper towel take some shoe powder and get it on your art and when you are done it usually comes cool.

  7. Yesterday was December 11, 2019, which means that it was Colonial day at my school. Colonial day was a day that 5th graders went back in time to experience the colonial times.

There were many activities like jaxs, marbles, cooking, dancing, scrimshaw, tin punch, and many other things. My personal favorite was the dancing, it wasn’t the same like the dances we have today like hip hop and ballet you would greet people with this dance. The dance was called The Virginia Wheel. You would dance with your friends and family members. It was so much fun to learn the dance and teach your parents. Sometimes it would be funny when some families messed up, but I think everyone did a good job you should search it up and try it yourself.

  8. My favorite thing from Colonial night had to be the games. The games were really simple and me and my friends did it together! This was really simple and fun. The best part of all of this was that I am now really good at each Colonial game. The best part was that when I started to win at the game “Jax ” It was simple and if you are wondering what that game was it was little metal shaped pieces that looked the same but we’re like different colors. And you would put every single one in your hand shake and let them fall on to the ground. Then you would grab 1 Jax piece and put it to the side. Then you would move on to 10 and I did not get to that. I really liked the game you were able to hangout with a lot of friends and have fun and that’s why I enjoyed it!

  9. My thing at colonial night was playing the games.I especially liked playing marbles. To play marbles you have to have some sort of shape to put all the marbles in, such as a string in the shape of a circle. Take the small marbles and and put them inside the circle and spread them out. The big marble is called the shooter. You flick the shooter into the circle and knock out the small marbles you keep going until you miss. Who ever has the most marbles at the end wins.
I liked playing the game because me and my brother once played with marbles when we were little, and one time he decided to eat a marble and me and my family joked around and had a great time.

  10. I think my favorite activity was the classroom, in the classroom we would act as if we were on a farm, doing chores and going into town. I really liked it because it really showed what would happen if we were on a farm in colonial times. Another reason I liked it was because we got to keep a souvenir!

  11. On colonial day/night we had events. My favorite event was jacks because I learned for the first time how to play jacks and I learned what other games you can play with jacks and I got to play jacks with my family and friends.Jacks was a game that people played back then and how you played jacks was you would roll 10 pieces of jacks and you would have a ball and you would bounce it on the floor and picked one jack at a time. During colonial days in the morning we got to make a design on cans with a hammer and a nail it was fun but you had to sit in a weird way and you had to hold the can with your feet and it made your back hurt so bad. I liked Jack’s better than hammering a can because it makes you feel so bad your back hurts. This is why I like jacks better than hammering cans.

  12. My favorite event was Jax.Jax is where you spread out jax’s and toss up a ball and pick up the jax and let the ball bounce once and catch the ball in mid air with the same hand you have the jax in.You play with 10 jax and 1 small bouncy ball. This was my favorite game because I like that is challenging and you can graduate from level 1 to level 2 and more. It’s Like you can pick up all 10 jax’s one at a time and then pick up all 10 jax’s 2 at a time. Also when you pick up a jax you can’t move another jax if you do move another jax you weren’t trying to grab or miss catching the ball it’s the other person turn if you play with other people. You do not have to play with other people if your playing alone and you mess up you just spread the jax out again and start over and every time you mess up you spread out the jax again.

  13. I really like colonial night and my favorite part was jacks and the reason why I liked jacks is that my mom said there is an advantage to being old because my mom use to play it all the time when there were at Recess and that’s why she is a boss at it and she tot me and it was at and if you don’t know how to play it then you throw a bouncy ball into the air and then you grab a jack. And you do that over and over and you all so you move up numbers

  14. In 5th grade we are learning about colonial times and yesterday we got to experience being a colonial person.

My favorite part of colonial night was playing jacks.jacks is where you have all of these little metal x . With little circle.then you have a rubber ball.

How you play is you hold the ball in the palm of your hand. Then have the other side of your hand on the floor.then you throw the ball up but not very high.but after you throw the ball and it’s in the air you grab jacks thing shaped like a x. Then you grab it before the ball is on the ground.then when you get the jacks things you grab the ball. But you can only use one hand. And that my favorite thing at colonial night!

  15. My favorite of conical night is making food . The first part of the food was for me making corn besicute . They are like corn breed with real corn in it . The chaperone gave us all an ingredient to put in the mixture . I had milk , when it was my time to do it the person that was holding the beaker spilled it was funny . Then we made butter . Carmella’s dad was are chaperone . He gave us a jar with cream and shake shake . the 10 minutes later we had butter . then we feest the besicute where sooooooooooo good and we put seerip .

  16. I like the colonial food like the corn fritters when you put them with syrup. I also like the taste of it when it’s crispy on the outside and it’s so soft on the inside with the corn with it. In the night for the colonial night we get to play jacks and marbles. The jacks were kinda hard because I have problems throwing the ball and trying to grab the jacks but it was still fun to go to 1699. We also made bracelets. Also we get to do the colonial dance at night.

  17. On colonial day I was dancing with my aunt and it was fun!!!! My aunty was very good but she went the wrong way. I chose this one because it put a smile on my family’s face. PS I loved the games because I won the jacs game but my mom got more than me at first I was super duper happy because I had fun and I hanged out with my friends after the dance and we played ultament tag and my baby brother was playing jayda’s baby brother too.!!!!! It was an awesome night on colonial night.
